Eiger Trading Advisors Ltd and AAM Commodities Sdn Bhd announce formal commercial
agreement to provide Commodity-based Islamic Financial services in Malaysia
The commercial agreement between Eiger Trading Advisors, a UK-FSA-registered member of
the London Metal Exchange, and AAM Commodities, a member of the Asian Asset Group of
international trading companies, was conceived to provide an enhanced product platform and
service offering to Islamic banking clients in Malaysia.
Representatives of both companies are present to make the formal announcement at the IFN Asia
Forum 2012: “We are delighted to be working with AAM to strengthen our position in such an
important market as Malaysia”, Tom Guest, Manager of Islamic Products at Eiger Trading in London
was quoted as saying.
“We believe there is huge potential in the Islamic commodities space in Malaysia,” added
Aminnurlah Mustapah, Managing Director of AAM Commodities. “Combining AAM’s in-depth
understanding of the Malaysian financial marketplace with Eiger’s expertise in sourcing and trading
physical commodities for Sharia’a-compliant transactions we hope to provide a unique offering to
Malaysia’s wholesale and retail Islamic financial sectors.”
