Since our formation in 2008, the company's goal has been to deliver technology-driven solutions to the Islamic Finance sector, drawing from expertise in Sharia'a-compliant banking, IT-development and physical asset trading.

Stephen Michael Openshaw started his banking career in the City of London in the Treasury of UBAF Bank Ltd in 1977. This was the commencement of a longstanding relationship with the Arab financial world including living 16 years in the Middle-East in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. His most recent position was Head of Islamic Products at MF Global, with prior management responsibilities as FVP Assistant Treasury Manager, Interest Rate and Islamic Products at Arab Banking Corporation and Associate Director, Fixed Income and derivatives at Daiwa Europe Bank London.
Christopher McGuigan joined the Company from MF Global where he had worked for nearly twenty years. During this time Chris fulfilled a number of roles within the company, gaining exposure to and first class experience of a number of their business units. Chris has traded foreign exchange, precious and industrial metals, fixed income and commodities both as agent and most recently as a principal, responsible for his own proprietary book within the Treasury of MF Global. Whilst at MF Global he was also a key member of the team responsible for the development of Islamic Products and the development of markets in the Middle-East.

Sam Guest first joined the Company as an intern, while studying for a MA degree in Mathematics from the University of St Andrews.
On graduation, he joined Eiger’s Islamic Products desk in a sales and trading role permanently in 2012, and has been developing and advancing the Commodity Trading side of the business ever since.
Sam showed a great aptitude for larger project work throughout his initial development at Eiger, and in 2014 he was promoted to the Head of Product Development, acting as liaison for the Business and IT sides of the company. Sam was made an Associate Director in 2016, having successfully overseen a period of significant growth for Eiger.
Tim has worked as a hugely successful interdealer broker for over 30 years, with 23 of those spent in Asia's major financial centres. In Tokyo he was manager of Tullet Prebon's USD Interest Rate Swaps for Asia, before moving to BGC Tokyo as Managing Director for Asia, Oceania and the GCC, where he built their USD IRS business from scratch to being the number one desk in Asia within 3 years. He chose to move this business from Japan to Singapore in 2004. As a result he has travelled extensively on business in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, developing an enviable network of contacts both in and outside of the financial markets, and he now oversees Eiger's marketing and business development in Europe and Asia.
